The Houston Museum District is not just a "collection" of 18 museums. It's a destination where Houston families and out-of-town visitors can discover an enriching, cultural experience." Only a few cities in the country have such districts devoted to maximizing the use of artistic, scientific and educational resources of its institutions. The museums are all conveniently located within a 1.5 mile radius of the Mecom Fountain and provide a range of exciting exhibits, collections, workshops, and live performances.
